IT'S GETTING CLOSER

We are doing LOTS of planning for our Volunteer Expo and Wellness Fair. It looks like we are going to have a lot of exhibitors as well as free testing for blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol as well as a ton of prize draws throughout the day. We are pleased to be able to host this event with FREE admission. See you there?

Alzheimer's CARE Training Coming Soon!

On Tuesday September 24 and Tuesday October 1 at 7 p.m. at Credit Union Place, Heather Blouin from Home Instead Senior Care will presenting Alzheimer’s CARE Training. This is a free learning opportunity where participants will learn the causes of Alzheimers and other dimentias, recognize the symptoms, and learn about diagnoses and behaviours. SENIORS NETWORK CAFE

Alzheimer Society of PEI is presenting a SENIORS NETWORK CAFE at CREDIT UNION PLACE on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 at 2 p.m. The café is designed to enable seniors to socialize over a cup of coffee and talk about the importance of self-care for caregivers and encourage lifelong learning.

This promises to be an informative and relaxing opportunity for social connection and mutual support. Hope you will join us on Thursday! See you there?

GRANDPARENTS GROUP STARTING SEPTEMBER 9

GRANDPARENTS GROUP
At Credit Union Place

Mondays STARTING SEPT. 9 10 a.m. until noon


Are you a grandparent with significant responsibilities for raising your grandkids? Or just interested in learning more about what your grandkids’ world is like? Would you like the support, encouragement and understanding of other people in the same situation? Would you like some help bridging the generation gap?
Then consider coming to Credit Union Place on Monday mornings. We host a gathering which offers information, learning and support for all grandparents who are taking part in their grandchildren’s lives. There are speakers as well as time to talk and get to know one another. Sessions include topics of interest to the group. Facilitators are Reverend Andrew Richardson, Pat Poirier, and Arlene MacInnis and Pam MacKinnon, Community Youth Workers.
